WestGen, a farmer-owned organization serving dairy and beef producers across Western Canada, is seeking a Financial Controller for an on-site role in Abbotsford, BC. You will oversee accounting processes, prepare financial statements, and provide strategic insights to support long-term planning.
You will lead month-end close, budgeting, and compliance, manage intercompany activity, and collaborate with leadership to optimize financial systems and controls, including ERP ownership.

The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Abbotsford, BC. This role oversees the organization’s financial operations, including managing accounting processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Controller will develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyze financial performance, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making and long-term planning. Daily responsibilities include maintaining internal controls, overseeing month-end and year-end close, coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and supervising finance and accounting staff. The role also collaborates with leadership to evaluate business initiatives, manage financial risks, and support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

The posted pay range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role; however, final salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
