Job summary

BDO Canada in London, Ontario is seeking a Financial Analyst, Valuations & Modelling to join the Financial Advisory Services team. This replacement role will contribute to discussions with management, assist in cash flow risk analysis, and support valuation modeling and client presentations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA designation is an asset and pursuit of a CBV designation is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field.
  • CPA accounting designation is considered an asset.
  • Must be willing to pursue a CBV designation.
  • 1–2 years working experience in an accounting or M&A practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Public accounting experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Take part in discussions and meetings with the management of the companies involved.
  • Analyze company and industry-specific strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats with a view to determining the cash flow risks of the companies involved.
  • Participate in the valuation modeling.
  • Draft detailed valuation reports and presentations to management.
  • Develop relationships with current and prospective clients of BDO.
  • Provide ongoing communication with the valuation Practice Leader.
  • Develop an understanding of business development activities to support this practice.

Your Opportunity

Our London office is looking for a Financial Analyst, Valuations & Modelling to join the Financial Advisory Services team. This is a replacement role, and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

Your Experience And Education
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field

The expected range of compensation for this role is $57,000 to $87,000 annually.
