Job summary

HUB International, based in Canada, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Western Canadian CFO team, focusing on the Home Warranty segment accounting cycle. The role is based in Chilliwack, BC, reporting to the Finance Manager, with responsibilities spanning month-end close, GL reconciliation, and banking activities.

The successful candidate will drive reporting, budgeting, and process improvements while collaborating with Warranty and HCW operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Active CPA designation enrollment is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an asset.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed and accountable with attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries for Warranty branches, including sales, tax, and banking entries as well as accrual/balance sheet entries
• Maintain and reconcile GL balance sheet accounts and record corrections to GL; collaborate with the Warranty team regarding required adjustments
• Supervise entry of cash receipts and disbursements
• Serve as primary point of contact between HCW Finance and central transaction center for Warranty related matters
• Manage Warranty banking including transfers and wire payments – coordinate with Treasury & Warranty executive on cash balances and banking administration
• Work with Warranty & HCW operations teams for Warranty service & process changes
• Enhance existing reports and develop new reporting tools as requested by management
• Participate in annual budget process
• Ad hoc projects and assignments as required

About the Position

Based in Chilliwack, BC, and reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be part of the Western Canadian CFO team, with offices in Burnaby, Chilliwack, and Winnipeg. In this role, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for all aspects of our Home Warranty segment accounting cycle.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.


• Active enrollment in CPA designation program is strongly preferred.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas), with a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in a finance or accounting role.


• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an asset.


• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Self-directed and accountable, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills, with rigorous attention to detail and accuracy.
