Job summary

Akash Homes, based in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant & Analyst to own corporate accounting processes across the Akash Homes Group of Companies. You will support month-end and year-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.

You will collaborate with the Controller and CFO, mentor junior staff, and help drive accounting process improvements across multiple entities and ERP systems, including HomeFront and Sage.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or active progress toward a CPA designation, combined with relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in a Financial Accountant & Analyst role or similar.
• Strong understanding of month end and year end close processes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support month end and year end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support budgeting, financial modelling and forecasting activities.
• Complete financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts.
