Position Summary

We seek a skilled Finance Team Lead to manage our finance team, overseeing month-end processes, financial consolidation, and forecasting across multiple entities and currencies. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, support accounting operations, and contribute to ERP system implementation and transition to a new consolidation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Support the accounting team, including accounts payable, receivable, and daily accounting tasks.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure timely sales tax filings across all countries (GST, QST, HST, VAT, US sales taxes).
  • Perform financial consolidation, ensuring accurate intercompany transaction eliminations and reconciliations, transitioning from Excel to NetSuite ERP.
  • Maintain the monthly forecast model, incorporating actuals and projections for revenues, costs, and expenses.
  • Manage the transfer pricing model, including related journal entries and eliminations.
  • Support the ERP implementation and data migration.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
  • Support submission of claims for programs and government grants.
  • Train new team members and serve as a backup for accountants.

Your Profile

  • CPA designation or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting.
  • Familiarity with Sage 50, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite ERP (asset).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Result-oriented, independent, flexible, and resourceful in demanding environments.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to improve processes.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
