Overview
The purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day finance and bookkeeping activities at IPMA
Accounting and Consulting Services for different clients.
IPMA Accounting & Consulting Services is a firm providing accounting, bookkeeping and consulting
services to clients in different industries.
The Position
You will work on a diverse set of activities including, but not limited to, supporting all aspects of
Financial Administration. For instance, you will:
● Verify and review all employee expense claims, wage subsidy submissions and all other
Accounts Payable and expense invoices for accuracy, and for proper authorization and
approval
● Code all expenses and invoices to proper expense line and project cost centre and post
them to the Quickbook Advanced accounting system. Prepare journal entries, month,
quarter and year-end entries and post them in QBO
● Maintains accounting and contracts filing, and records which support allocation of
expenses to various organization programs in line with project funding budgets
● Prepare payment batches, prepare and print cheques, process electronic direct deposit
files, and process Accounts Receivable invoices
● Process banking transactions including deposits, reconciliations and electronic direct
deposit file set up and processing.
● Reconcile company credit cards and employee expense claims, verify transactions,
authorizations, and compliance with policy, match to receipt
● Provide support in the preparation and documentation of Budgets, Financial Claims, Cash
Flow Forecasts, Payroll and Benefits Administration, tax filings, and any other
project-related work assigned
● Payroll year end T4/T4A production and filing
● Take on special projects and perform analysis on an ad-hoc basis
● Other duties as assigned.
Position requirements
● Education: A Business, Finance or Accounting degree
● Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, preferably in the nonaviation
sector with a strong knowledge of GAAP
● Strong knowledge and experience of QBO and Google Workspace functionality including
● Ability to work independently, dependable, highly organized and attention to detail
● Passion, Integrity and Energy.
