The role leads month/quarter/year closes, internal reporting to the university, and external reporting to provincial and national bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field with CPA designation.
• Eight+ years in financial control, accounting operations or external reporting.
• CPA preferred and ability to train staff on processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes.
• Maintain internal controls and financial reporting for the School of Medicine.
• Develop procedures, training and reporting aligned with SFU policies and reconciliation priorities.
