Job summary

Aspire Software seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead accounting and reporting for a portfolio of acquired companies in Montreal. The role reports to the Director of Finance and focuses on period-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

The Finance Manager will coordinate with the Portfolio Managers and Managing Directors, drive KPI reporting, and ensure strong internal controls while guiding a growing finance team in a decentralized structure.

Qualifications

• Qualified financial accountant with professional credentials (ACCA/CPA) and degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5+ years in a finance role with some team leadership experience.
• Strong internal controls knowledge and ability to implement efficient processes.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead period-end close, budgeting and forecasting for a portfolio of companies.
• Coordinate with Finance team and directors for accurate reporting and analysis.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and KPIs for portfolio management.
• Drive improvements in accounting processes and ERP system usage.
• Oversee audits and ensure compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
• Manage and mentor a scalable finance team in a decentralized environment.
• Support IPO or acquisition activities with financial data and diligence.
