Job summary

Graham Contracting, Ltd. in Calgary is inviting a Co‑op Student Finance Coordinator to support the Services division. You’ll assist with job costing, time entry, billing, and invoice processing while maintaining timely, accurate financial deliverables and strong stakeholder relationships.

The role is 8 months, based in Calgary with some project site travel. You’ll work under the Job Cost Administrator Manager and contribute to compliant financial workflows and ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Co‑op student).
• 0–1 year of related experience; exposure to finance, accounting, or project‑based environments is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with job costing, time entry, billing, or financial transaction systems is an asset.
• Background check required due to confidential and sensitive information in the role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transaction Processing Lead with financial operations including job costing, time entry, billing, third‑party invoice processing, and cash application.
• Process timesheets and billings accurately and on time in accordance with contract terms and internal controls.
• Apply cash receipts and support analysis of outstanding receivables to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review and understand project‑specific contracts and transaction workflows to support compliant processing.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and transactional support based on project size and complexity.
