Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto seeks a Senior Manager, Finance Change, to drive business solutions and initiatives for GBM Finance. You will map current processes, capture future-state requirements, and partner with Technology to design and implement end-to-end solutions.

You will lead workshops, engage stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Risk and Compliance, coordinate testing and readiness activities, and secure leadership sign-off to enable smooth transitions and measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Finance capital markets experience with analytical and problem-solving in Finance or Risk Management with securities, loans and derivatives.
• Excellent analytic and communication skills; able to document and simplify use cases for executive leadership.
• Hands-on experience leading end-to-end finance change processes from a BSI perspective.
• Experience working in or with Product Control.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or quantitative discipline; accounting certification (CPA, CMA) or other such as FRM or CFA would be an asset.
• Graduate degree would be an asset.
• Strong judgment, management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a rapidly changing environment.
• Good project/time management skills to manage multi-functional accountabilities.

Responsibilities

• Process Mapping & Optimization: document current-state processes and identify opportunities for re-engineering.
• Business Requirements & Solution Design Partnership: articulate and validate business requirements with Technology.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Effective Communication: act as conduit between Finance and Technology, Operations, Risk, etc.
• Change Enablement & Transition Support: coach and guide end-users through transitions.
• Workshop Facilitation & Stakeholder Alignment: lead workshops and align objectives across teams.
• Testing Coordination & Validation: develop test cases, run parallel tests, validate results for go-live readiness.
• Leadership Readiness & Strategic Sign-Off: secure leadership sign-off and ensure organizational preparedness.
