Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Manager, Finance Automation to lead transformative engagements across the Global Finance community. You will partner with Finance teams and developers to uncover pain points, define requirements and deliver intelligent automation using GenAI, Power Platform, and RPA, driving measurable enterprise value.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA/CGA/CMA or relevant degree with 5–7 years of experience
• Consulting experience in financial services or insurance
• AI-enabled mindset with hands-on AI in finance (GenAI, Copilot)
• Advanced Excel and Power Query; VBA/VBS are assets
• Knowledge of automation/AI tech to bridge business and tech
• Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder influence
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Creative thinker with drive to learn and improve processes

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transformation engagements from discovery to value realization
• Identify and shape high-impact AI use cases for finance
• Assess current-state finance processes to design solutions
• Collaborate with Finance teams and developers to define requirements
• Partner with Agile team to shape solution vision into user stories/backlog
• Track benefits and demonstrate value to stakeholders
• Act as trusted advisor; present options, demos and outcomes
• Lead validation and testing of financial/analytical results
• Manage multiple initiatives, remove impediments, balance priorities
