Job summary

Sun Life is hiring a Manager, Finance Automation in Ontario. You will lead end-to-end transformation projects across the global Finance community, partnering with Finance teams and developers to deliver intelligent automation using GenAI, Power Query, Power Apps, Power Automate and RPA.

The role blends consulting, finance and technology to drive enterprise-scale value. You will work in a hybrid environment, shaping the solution with business partners and delivering outcomes that improve

Qualifications

Professional Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) or relevant degree with 5–7 years of related industry experience.
Consulting experience (management, technology or finance transformation), ideally serving financial institutions or insurance companies.
AI-enabled mindset with hands‑on skills applying AI in finance (GenAI, Agentic AI, Copilot, prompt design).
Advanced Excel and Power Query skills; VBA and VBScript are assets.
Strong knowledge of automation/AI tech to bridge business needs and tech.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end transformation engagements from discovery to value realization.
Identify high-impact AI use cases (GenAI, Copilot) for Finance.
Map current-state processes to design value-driven solutions.
Collaborate with Finance teams and developers to clarify requirements and tooling.
Shape solution vision into user stories and a prioritized backlog.
Track benefits across pipeline and deliver measurable value.
Act as trusted advisor presenting status, options and outcomes.
Lead validation and testing of financial/analytic results.
