Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Manager, Business Automation to lead a team within Sun Life Global Investments. You will drive automation intake, translate business needs into build-ready requirements, and ensure reliable, governed delivery across functions.

You will mentor automation professionals, uphold coding and testing standards, and guide deployment while tracking realized value and adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of experience in automation, workflow, business analysis, or solutions delivery.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, AWS, and approved AI developer tooling.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across partners.
• People leadership skills to coach, develop, and drive accountability.
• Senior-level problem-solving, clear communication, diplomacy, prioritization, adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Automation Intake, Prioritization, and Delivery to manage backlog and value.
• Define requirements and assess technical feasibility with data governance and delivery controls.
• Manage the Automation Analyst and ensure quality: code reviews, testing, and change management.
• Deliver, govern, and sustain automation solutions with logging, run books, and handover.
• Own stakeholder adoption and track value, communicating progress and outcomes.
