Job summary

Indwell in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Finance Analyst – Operations to prepare, manage, and deliver timely financial reports across government and institutional stakeholders. You will support operational effectiveness, ensure funding compliance, and translate financial data into actionable insights for program management.

The role reports to the Finance Manager and involves collaboration across internal teams, with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master's preferred).
• CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Proven budgeting and financial reporting experience, preferably in nonprofit or social services.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and present financial information accessibly.
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly financial reports to departments and interpret financial information.
• Maintain payroll database to support reporting requirements.
• Develop quarterly reports for Finance and Audit Committee.
• Support in preparing program launch budgets.
• Engage with auditors as required and assist with year-end close.
• Assist with external reporting to government bodies and grants.
