Job summary

Winnipeg Foundation is seeking a Finance Coordinator to support fund payments, administration, and reporting for charitable assets. You will process grants, assist accounts payable, and help with financial controls and stakeholder reporting.

The role requires a diploma in accounting or office administration and 1–3 years of data entry or bookkeeping experience; strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in accounting or office administration.
  • 1–3 years of data entry or bookkeeping experience is an asset.
  • Experience with financial reporting is an asset.
  • Strong MS Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Enter Agency, Designated, and Managed Fund grants.
  • Enter coding into FIMS for fund associations and distributions.
  • Provide support for accounts payable activities.
  • Provide support for gift activities.
  • Complete T4A forms and Bare Trust forms as required.
  • Support and coordinate daily deposits.
  • Assist with Finance & Audit and Investment Committee meetings and materials.
  • Participate on internal committees and working groups as required.
  • Generate and post monthly fund statements and annual reports.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

The Role:

The Finance Coordinator - Fund Payments & Administration - is responsible for supporting the operational effectiveness of the Foundation's finance and fund administration functions. The role ensures the accurate processing, administration, and reporting of fund and grant-related transactions, contributing to strong financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to fundholders, grantees, and internal stakeholders. Working within established financial controls and procedures, the incumbent maintains critical financial data, supports reporting and payment processes, and contributes to the efficient management of charitable assets entrusted to the Foundation. Through collaboration, accuracy, and attention to detail, the position helps ensure the integrity, transparency, and accountability of the Foundation's financial operations.

Experience, Education, and Credentials
  • Diploma in accounting or office administration
  • 1-3 years of experience in data entry or bookkeeping is an asset
