Job summary

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Fill Compounder (Manufacturing Technician) to join our on-site manufacturing team on 12‑hour rotating continental shifts (days and nights). You will compound raw materials per Master formulas, maintain equipment, and ensure GMP-compliant operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or GMP facility, with strong math, attention to detail,

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED/CAEC and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility.
  • Strong mathematical skills to compute simple calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, percent and averages).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy emphasized.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • This position does not qualify for sponsorship.
  • Non-Canadian credentials require Canadian equivalency evaluation (ACESC/WES).
  • Manual dexterity for handling, keyboard use and precise tasks.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending and exposure to chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment and keep working areas clean and organized.
  • Compound raw materials according to Master formulas and SOPs.
  • Check and dispense raw materials as required in Master formulas.
  • Prepare equipment and preparation rooms for batch processes per GMP.
  • Drain and deaerate fill material batches as required per SOP.
  • Complete all required documentation.
  • Adhere to all SOPs and GMPs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Fill Compounder (Manufacturing Technician)
Position Summary
  • Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating continental shifts (Days and Nights)
  • This position is 100% on-site at the Windsor site.

This position is located in Windsor, Ontario, one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Fill Compounder is responsible for compounding raw materials in accordance with Master formulas and standard operating procedures.

The Role:
  • Maintain the equipment used and the working areas clean and organized at all times.
  • Compound raw materials in accordance to standard operating procedures.
  • Check and dispense raw materials as required in Master formulas.
  • Clean and prepare equipment and preparation rooms for batch processes in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Drain and deaerate fill material batches as required and in accordance to standard operating procedures.
  • Complete all documentation as required.
  • Comly with all SOPs and GMPs.
  • Perform other duties as required.
The Candidate:
  • High School Diploma, GED/CAEC and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility.

  • Good communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.

  • Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES.
  • The employee’s role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity.
  • Occasionally, the position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, alongside close vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals.
Pay:

The start hourly rate for this position is $25.04/Hr. The trained hourly rate for this position is $31.30/Hr. Catalent is a global employer, and this compensation does not reflect positions that work in other countries.
