Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Field 310T Truck & Coach Technician for day shift in North Bay, ON. The role focuses on on-site repair and maintenance of Peterbilt equipment in a field environment, reporting to the North Bay Branch. Join a team dedicated to service excellence and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a certified Journeyperson in Truck & Coach, with experience on CAT, Cummins, or PACCAR engines, electrical diagnostics, and a background in a busy shop setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyperson in Truck and Coach trade or equivalent considered an asset.
• Experience with CAT, Cummins and PACCAR engines is an asset.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is an asset.
• Previous mechanical shop experience is an asset.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
• Must communicate effectively with engineers, service team and branch personnel.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proven diagnostic skills for mechanical and technical repairs.
• Strong time-management and teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate condition, diagnose, disassemble/assemble, and repair field equipment.
• Order parts and use related tools and computer systems.
• Document work orders with actions and time taken.
• Ensure safety and adherence to standards while performing tasks.
• Test equipment operation and verify warranties with engineers.
• Utilize parts catalogs to locate and order parts.
• Road test equipment to verify repair and attachment operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
