Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Field Truck and Coach Technician for its Mississauga Peterbilt dealership. You will repair and maintain truck and trailer equipment in a field/shop setting, diagnosing issues, ordering parts, and ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The ideal candidate is a certified journeyperson, with experience on CAT, Cummins, and PACCAR engines preferred, and strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designation.
• Experience with CAT, CUMMINS and PACCAR engines is an asset.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is an asset.
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is an asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on-road equipment.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Document machine information, actions taken and time on work orders.
• Ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
• Use computer systems to document maintenance, inspection and diagnosis.
• Collaborate with engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements.
• Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
