Brandt currently seeks a Field Truck and Coach Technician for a Sudbury-area role with a 4-day work week, 10-hour days, and field service responsibilities. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Truck & Coach equipment, order parts, and document service actions for on-road units.

Ideal candidates are 310T journeypersons with experience in CAT, Cummins, PACCAR engines, electrical diagnostics, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach trade (310T) or equivalent.
• Experience with CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines is an asset.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis and aftertreatment systems is an asset.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently evaluate working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, and repair on-road equipment.
• Order parts and use related tools and equipment safely.
• Document work orders with machine info, actions taken, and time.
• Ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis in computer systems.
• Use parts catalogs to locate and order parts.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.

We are currently seeking a a Field Truck and Coach Technician join our Peterbilt Dealership in Sudbury. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck & Coach based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

What We Look For

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade considered an asset
• Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset
• Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
