Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Ayr, ON is seeking a Field Truck and Coach Technician to repair and maintain truck and coach equipment in the field. You will diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and document actions on work orders, with a focus on safety and customer service. Journeyperson status and shop experience are assets.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck & Coach trade or equivalent designated trade is an asset.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade.
• Experience with CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines is an asset.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis and aftertreatment systems is an asset.
• Previous mechanical shop experience is an asset.
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

We are currently seeking a Field Truck and Coach Technician tojoin our Peterbilt Dealership in Ayr. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck & Coach basedequipment and attachments in a field environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck & Coach techniciantrade or equivalent designated trade considered an asset
• Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset
• Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team and branch personnel
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Other duties as assigned
