Brandt Group of Companies in Cardinal, ON, is seeking a Field Truck & Coach Technician to service on-road equipment in Cardinal. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and coaches in a dynamic field setting, coordinating with parts and service teams to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate is a certified journeyperson with heavy-truck experience, electrical diagnostics, and engine systems. A strong safety mindset and customer service orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified journeyperson in Truck & Coach trade or equivalent designation.
• Experience with CAT, CUMMINS and PACCAR engines is preferred.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is an asset.
• Previous mechanical shop experience is desirable.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade.
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team and branch personnel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently evaluate working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair on-road equipment.
• Use related instruments, tools, and computer systems safely and effectively.
• Document machine information, actions taken, and time on work orders.
• Assess hazards and ensure work is performed safely to standards.
• Use parts catalogs to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

We are currently seeking a Field Truck and Coach Technician join our Peterbilt Dealership in Cardinal, ON. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck and Coach based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
• Other duties as assigned

What We Look For

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade considered an asset
• Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset
• Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade
