Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic to service and repair truck and trailer equipment in the Swift Current, SK area, reporting to our Peterbilt Dealership in Regina. The role involves diagnosing, assembling/disassembling, ordering parts, and performing on-road maintenance in a field environment.

The ideal candidate is a certified journeyperson with experience on CAT, CUMMINs, PACCAR engines and electrical diagnostics.

Formación

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade, or equivalent designated trade (asset).
• Experience with CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines (asset).
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems (asset).
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment (asset).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on-road equipment in the field.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools and computer systems.
• Document on work orders all machine information, actions taken and time.
• Assess task hazards and ensure work is performed safely to standards.
• Use parts catalogues to locate && order parts from parts personnel.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.

We are currently seeking a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic for the Swift Current, SK area, reporting to our Peterbilt Dealership in Regina. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck & Trailer based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

What We Look For

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or equivalent designated trade considered an asset
• Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset
• Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
• Must be registered in the 310T trade
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team and branch personnel
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
