Job summary

PRI Engineering Corp. is seeking an Intermediate Field Technician to join our field services team in Peterborough, ON.

You will work on-site across a variety of projects, collect field data, perform tests and inspections, and support engineering and environmental teams from planning through project close-out. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of hands-on field experience, a technical diploma in a related field, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently outdoors in variable

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of field experience in engineering, environmental, or construction-materials settings.
• 1–2 years of solar field experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field data collection, sampling, testing and inspections per project specs and standards.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment.
• Prepare clear field notes, logs and reports to support engineering and client deliverables.
• Coordinate day-to-day field logistics and communicate progress to project staff.
• Support and mentor junior field technicians on-site.
• Follow PRI health and safety policies and site safety plans; report hazards.
• Travel to project sites as required, including occasional overnight stays.
