Job summary

Catterall & Wright is seeking a Survey Technologist for an 8-month fixed-term contract in Saskatoon, Canada. The role focuses on topographic, construction, and as-built surveys for municipal and civil projects, with field and reporting duties across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include field data collection with GPS/total stations, construction layouts, notes maintenance, and UAV survey support as ground crew. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a certificate, degree or diploma in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related municipal program.
• Minimum 1 year of related surveying experience; if no certificate, minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, construction, and as-built field surveys for civil projects (land development, municipal engineering, building construction).
• Assist with construction layout surveys for water, sewer, and road projects using GPS, rod & level, or total station.
• Maintain complete field notes and processing data using control files and coordinate systems.
• Prepare site inspection and survey reports daily or as required.
• Support UAV surveys as ground crew; pilot UAV when required.
• Provide regular project status updates to project managers.
