Job summary

Toromont Cat in Dartmouth, NS seeks a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, to travel to customer sites in a Toromont Service truck and provide expert service and product knowledge to ensure repairs are completed promptly and with integrity.

The role offers 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (14/14), full-time permanent employment, and a competitive hourly wage. You will work safely, build customer relationships, and contribute to a strong service mindset across Eastern Canada.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in heavy equipment/mechanics field required.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a technician in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Red Seal Certification required.
• A valid Driver’s Licence (DZ Licence preferred).

Responsibilities

• Possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to get the job done right and on time.
• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Culture.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leveraging top tier technical skills.
• Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on site visits.

Description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to go directly to customer sites in a Toromont Service truck and provide superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (14/14)

Compensation

$48.72 to $51.55

The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available.
