Job summary

NextGen Automation Ltd in Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair office equipment, including printers and scanners, at customer sites.

You will diagnose hardware, software, and connectivity issues, travel within the territory, and provide high-quality service while collaborating with Dispatch, Customer Care, and management.

A valid driver''s license and a customer-focused approach are required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing printers, multifunction devices, copiers, scanners, or related office equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of networking, print drivers, scanning, software installation, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs in a professional manner.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within an assigned territory as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair business color, monochrome, and production print equipment.
• Provide technical problem resolution and assistance to customers, service technicians, sales personnel, and management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity-related issues.
• Manage assigned service calls in a timely manner while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Complete required administrative tasks, service reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow best practices related to maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of office equipment.
• Attend manufacturer, vendor, and internal training sessions as required.
• Travel between customer locations within the service territory.
