Job summary

ABB in Canada’s Mining & Material division is seeking a skilled field service technician to execute service work across Sudbury. You will deliver on-site field service, troubleshoot complex equipment, and ensure customer satisfaction with timely, safe, and precise maintenance activities.

The role involves 60–70% travel to customer sites, both surface and underground, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing MV equipment and other industrial systems.
Excellent English communication skills, with a valid driver’s license and passport, and willingness to travel extensively to customer sites (60-70%). French is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Execute field service work safely and efficiently per customer requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
Provide outstanding customer experience through clear communication and responsiveness.
Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and communicate service growth opportunities to ABB account teams.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues through remote and on-site support for certified products and service offerings.
Plan and prepare service activities by securing materials, parts, tools, and equipment for first-time-right outcomes.
