The role focuses on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS, battery, and critical power systems while acting as the main technical contact in the field.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant experience and hold a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology, or a Red Seal Electrician certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field service or maintenance experience.
• Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology.
• Red Seal Electrician certification is desirable.
• Experience with UPS, batteries, and power distribution equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in Alberta.
• Ability to travel to the U.S. for training when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, repairs, and emergency service on critical power equipment.
• Service and support UPS systems, batteries, and related electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems at customer sites.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers for service and maintenance issues.
• Provide technical recommendations and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and travel throughout the region to support clients.

Description

• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, repairs, and emergency service on critical power equipment.
• Service and support UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, battery technologies, and related electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems at customer sites.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers regarding service and maintenance issues.
• Provide technical recommendations and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and travel throughout the region to support clients

Profile

• Overall, 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related discipline.
• Alternatively, Red Seal Electrician certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working with UPS systems, batteries, electronics, power distribution systems, or critical power infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Alberta.
• Ability to travel to the U.S. for product and safety training when required
