IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is assisting a client in their search for a Field Service Technician based out of Fort McMurray or Edmonton, AB. The role covers servicing UPS systems, batteries, and related electronics in high voltage environments at customer sites.

The position is full-time and hybrid, with travel mainly to Fort McMurray (75%) and other Alberta locations (25%). Compensation targets range from $69,000 to $87,000 per year, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• College degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Tech or Red Seal Journeyman required.
• Experience with UPS, batteries, or electronics preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to US for training when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility.
• On-site or in-house servicing and repair of company products.
• Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently assisting a client in their search for a FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN based out of either Fort McMurray or Edmonton, AB.

Fort McMurray is the preferred location, as this individual will spend a significant amount of time supporting customers and operations in the region. This individual will spend approx. 75% of time in Fort McMurray and 25% of time servicing customers throughout other locations in Alberta.

Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid

Compensation Target: $69,000 to $87,000/year, also eligible for overtime compensation.

Overview

Our client’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join the team.

The individual will be responsible for servicing uninterruptible power supplies and batteries and other company electronic‑based products in a high voltage environment at the customer’s site.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• College degree/diploma from an accredited institution in any of the following disciplines: Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology OR Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification/Ticket
• One (1) year of experience with UPS (uninterruptable power supplies) OR battery technologies OR electronics
• Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Required to travel to US for product and safety training when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic understanding of UPS rectifier or inverter
• Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems and schemes
