MPI, a global power management solutions provider, seeks an electrical service technician for preventive maintenance, commissioning, and emergency service on critical power equipment. You will support UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution while serving as the main technical contact for customers.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant experience, a diploma/degree in electrical technology, or Red Seal certification. Travel within the region and on-call rotations are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in electrical/electronic service or maintenance.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related discipline.
• Red Seal Electrician certification is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, repairs, and emergency service on critical power equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems at customer sites.

Job Description

• Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, repairs, and emergency service on critical power equipment.
• Service and support UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, battery technologies, and related electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems at customer sites.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers regarding service and maintenance issues.
• Provide technical recommendations and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and travel throughout the region to support clients.

The Successful Applicant

• Overall, 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related discipline.
• Alternatively, Red Seal Electrician certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working with UPS systems, batteries, electronics, power distribution systems, or critical power infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Alberta.
• Ability to travel to the U.S. for product and safety training when required
