Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician to prepare, deploy, and support downhole tools and related equipment on service and drilling rigs.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, on-call availability, and occasional travel, with shop duties when not in the field. You will handle tool assembly supervision, equipment preparation, and client communication while maintaining field records and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or GED preferred; additional education is an asset.
• 6+ years of field experience in oil & gas.
• Experience with drilling & completions equipment, downhole tools, and cased hole fishing is an asset.
• Safety Tickets (First Aid, H2S Alive, TDG, WHMIS) are assets.
• Must live within thirty minutes of the station or be willing to relocate.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deploy downhole tools and equipment from Variperm, Davis Lynch, and Multilift lines on service and drilling rigs.
• Assist in preparing tools and equipment to ensure on-time arrival at location.
• Assist in supervising tool assembly and deployment on location.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to site operators.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships in support of company values.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Maintain company vehicles and field records/tickets.
• Follow safety policies and work procedures; participate in training and safety meetings.
