Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Service Technician for our Barrie Construction & Forestry location in Oro-Medonte, ON. The role involves independent diagnostics, service maintenance and repair work on customer and dealer equipment to ensure timely, high-quality service.

The successful candidate will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and uphold safety and quality standards while supporting apprentices and collaborating

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose, disassemble/assemble and repair mechanical components.
• Ability to perform diagnostics and calibration work with computer tools.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate within budgets and approvals established by the Service Manager.
• Maintain high levels of productivity, efficiency, and gross margin to contribute positively to branch goals.
• Achieve and uphold a 98% quality of work to minimize rework and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Perform basic to complex diagnostics on power equipment to identify repair needs.
• Diagnose, disassemble, assemble, and repair mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Conduct inspections to ensure quality and regulatory standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication to prolong equipment life.
• Execute advanced mechanical repairs to resolve complex issues.
• Mentor apprentices and support their growth.
