Compensation Range: $52,100 - $77,900
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
Job Purpose
Provide technical and application support for EnerSys products and services in the assigned area, ensuring profitable margins and alignment with the business plan, to contribute to achieving service-related sales and service targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on customer equipment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.
- Operate material handling equipment per OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean working environment.
- Maintain records of performance reports.
- Interact with all levels of people inside and outside the company.
- Develop and conduct training on safe operation of equipment, demonstrating skills to trainees, including team members and customers.
- Serve as a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure effective service.
- Provide high-quality service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Generate substantial annual revenues.
- Operate independently without direct supervision.
- Perform basic math operations and read/write documents in English.
- Replace defective parts, reassemble, and repair batteries and related equipment; install new equipment at customer’s facility.
- Provide on-site technical assistance for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Complete timely reports of activities, expenses, quality alerts, and maintenance.
- Manage company assets, including service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 4-6 years of customer service experience in field support.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
- Proficiency in reading comprehension and writing in English.
- Basic math skills, including solving simple equations.
- Experience in the electrical field.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical/Electronic/Electrical fields.
- Basic electrical understanding and experience with test equipment and schematics.
- Hands-on job experience in electrical fields.
General Job Requirements
- Willingness to do overnight travel and operate a forklift.
- Ability to pass company’s driving requirements, including specific licensing if applicable.
- Physical ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.
- Compliance with PPE requirements and willingness to wear a respirator.
- Availability to work overtime, varying schedules, and be on-call.
- Work in plant/warehouse environments with varying conditions.
- Exposure to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass; periodic blood tests required.
