Field Service Technician responsibilities include:

• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing TRUMPF equipment with high quality.
• Demonstrating and training customers in the use and repair of TRUMPF machines in a complete and organized manner.
• Traveling up to 100%, including regional, national, and international travel.
• Performing basic retrofits, software installations, and customer training.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Working independently to resolve technical problems and maintaining good relationships with customers.
• Using relevant electrical measuring tools efficiently for troubleshooting.
• Submitting required weekly reports in a complete and organized manner.
• Assisting other Field Engineers as directed.
• Participating in approximately 6 months of training with ongoing education on existing and new products each year.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds without aid.

Travel requirements:

• Must be located, or able to relocate, within 45 minutes of a major international airport.
• 100% travel required, both internationally and domestically.
• Extensive travel, including some weekends, as needed.

Experience and education:

• Two-year technical school degree in engineering principles or equivalent education and experience. Experience in computer software/file management is advantageous.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical service, field service, repair, or customer service.
• Strong electrical and computer systems experience with high-level diagnostic skills.
• Experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems, or mechatronics.
• Experience with hand tools and measurement tools.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
