Location/Division

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides analytical instruments and services to diverse markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Life Sciences, Medical, Energy, Spectroscopy, and Minerals & Mining. Our instruments are used worldwide in various settings, valued for their adaptability, reliability, and ease of use.

The BEA Business Unit supports industries like energy, food safety, and infrastructure by providing high-quality analytical solutions such as optical emission spectroscopy (OES), x-ray fluorescence (XRF), and x-ray diffraction (XRD).

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and validation of spectroscopy instruments (OES, XRF, XRD).
  • Use customer management software to manage service calls, parts inventories, and documentation.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, analyze findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members, including training on equipment operation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer or a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related field with less experience.
Skills
  • Customer-oriented with strong technical knowledge of scientific equipment.
  • Effective communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize requests and work independently.
Travel & Physical Requirements
  • Up to 70% travel within the territory (Canada, Ontario).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform physical activities like stooping, kneeling, and standing.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
