A leading company in industrial automation seeks a field service representative based in Temiscaming, Quebec. This role involves serving as a primary contact for QCS service requests, designing maintenance programs, and advising on service solutions. This Position reports to:
Service ManagerLocated in the surrounding areas of Temiscaming in Quebec, reporting to the Service Manager, you will act as a field resident service representative providing on-site and remote services to customers.
You will work with other ABB QCS field service personnel in Quebec, with an extended network of professionals within Canada, North America and globally.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the primary contact for QCS service requests, helping customers meet productivity and quality goals.
· Design and execute maintenance programs; participate in 24/7 technical support rotations.
· Advise customers on service solutions, diagnose issues, and implement root-cause solutions.
· Lead system installations, prepare reports for audits, maintenance, and new services.
· Uphold safety and integrity while managing resident customer sites in Temiscaming, Quebec.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
· DEC in instrumentation and control technology with experience in industrial automation systems (PLCs/DCS).
· Experience with Quality Control Systems (QCS) for the paper industry and laboratory methods for measuring paper properties.
· Strong customer focus, leadership, and bilingual (French/English) communication skills; ability to work under pressure.
· Based in Temiscaming, Quebec; valid passport and driver’s license; availability to travel to the U.S. and internationally for training.
