Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking two Field Service Supervisors to lead teams of skilled technicians in the maintenance, repair and reliability of CAT 797 haul trucks in a mining setting. You will be in Elkford, with a 14x14 shift rotation, driving safety, productivity and customer satisfaction in a hands-on field role.

You will coach technicians, manage performance, and coordinate resources while ensuring high-quality work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience supporting Caterpillar mining equipment, CAT 797 haul trucks is a strong asset.
• Proven leadership ability to coach and develop frontline teams in mining/heavy equipment.
• Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving for field operations.
• Experience in a unionized environment and knowledge of collective agreements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor technicians, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity in field service.
• Coordinate resources, tooling and personnel for planned maintenance and repairs on CAT 797 haul trucks.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve equipment and parts issues quickly and effectively.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as primary contact for day-to-day field service operations.
• Ensure accurate service reports and SOP compliance across jobs.
