Job summary
Finning Canada is seeking an Electrical Inspector in British Columbia to support customer‑owned Electric Rope Shovels and enhance performance and maintenance to Caterpillar OEM standards. The role emphasizes customer relationships, site visits, and timely resolution of concerns to ensure equipment reliability.
The position is based in British Columbia, supporting Hard Rock and Coal mine sites with a 7x7 shift rotation and hybrid work opportunities.
Qualifications
- Electrical inspector with mining experience.
- Experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with Electric Rope Shovels and/or Rotary Blast Drills.
- Experience with Caterpillar equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Based on technical audits, recommend components to replace.
- Support troubleshooting to minimize shovel downtime.
- Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements.
- Schedule customer visits, set agendas, write reports.
- Provide technical analyses and service options to customers.
- Coordinate with Parts Department for parts delivery.
- Maintain open communication with supportive departments.
