Job summary

Rev Engineering Ltd. (doing business as Rev Power Solutions) is seeking a Field Service Supervisor in Calgary, AB. This permanent, full-time role oversees field labour and resources for service projects and manages project documents and allocated hours to meet requirements.

You will lead Field Service personnel in technical training, safety, and productivity, coordinating with Field Service Manager and Project Managers and contributing to client reports and quotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Field Service Representative in the industrial electrical sector.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to motivate field teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure scope acknowledgement form is used to track scope changes.
• Complete job reports.
• Provide leadership, motivation and direct supervision to Field Service personnel in training and safety.
• Provide continuity between Field Service staff, Field Service Manager and Project Managers.
• Supervise and direct larger maintenance or commissioning projects.
• Complete time sheets, tickets, expenses and vehicle logs per policy.
• Requisition job materials for project requirements.
• Schedule manpower/equipment with Project Managers and Field Service Manager.
• Maintain project schedules and respond to client requests.
• Participate in 24hr emergency response rotation.
• Attend weekly scheduling meetings with Field Service Manager.
• Maintain proper use of REV equipment and assets.
• Keep client sites and REV shop clean.
• Review/test sheets and prepare technical client reports/quotations.
• Sell REV services and perform on-site business development.
• Represent REV professionally to clients and staff.

Position Overview:

The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the labour and resources required to complete field service projects. Additionally, the field service supervisor will manage project related documents and project allocated hours to keep requirements on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure scope acknowledgement form is used to track scope changes


• Complete job reports


• Providing leadership, motivation and direct supervision to Field Service personnel in technical training, company safety, and in keeping junior field staff productive. You will be the first line of reporting for the Field Service Representatives on a day-to-day basis


• Providing continuity between the Field Service staff, Field Service Manager and Project Managers within the Field Service division of REV as well as providing input to employee reviews on a technical level


• Supervising, coordinating and providing project direction for larger sized maintenance or commissioning projects


• Completion of time sheets, time tickets, expenses and vehicle logs, as well as other office requirements as per Company Policy


• Requisitioning of job material for project requirements


• Working with the Project Managers and Field Service Manager to effectively schedule manpower/equipment utilization


• Maintaining current project schedules and requirements while ensuring other client requests are satisfied


• Being involved in the 24hr emergency response rotation with REV


• Mandatory attendance of weekly scheduling meetings with the Field Service Manager


• Responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper use and assignment of REV equipment, vehicles, property and assets


• Ensuring clients job sites and REV shop are clean at all times


• Responsible for review and approval of test sheets and preparation of technical client reports and quotations, or assigning field personnel to complete, and ensure completion meets client/project schedule and requirements


• Selling the services of REV and completing on site business development to clients; providing client maintenance both on a technical and social level


• Representing REV in a positive and professional manner to all clients and REV personnel

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Field Service Representative in the industrial electrical sector


• Professional qualities with regards to attitude and the ability to self-manage with proven initiative and client focus


• Strong leadership, organizational and time management capabilities


• Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office


• Excellent safety record / safety conscious with an interest in continued learning of safety precautions and procedures
