Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Field Service Operations Manager in Saskatoon to lead field service technicians and oversee daily operations, training, and safety. The role focuses on service delivery, resource planning, and continuous improvement in a customer-focused environment.

You will manage contracts, maintain logs in CMMS, and drive KPI reporting and performance improvements across Saskatchewan with about 50% travel. Relevant mining equipment knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have a degree/certificate or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance management or field service operations experience in mining or heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mining equipment systems and safety practices; bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and organize daily field service operations (equipment commissioning, service calls, warranty cases).
  • Coordinate customer training and technical support.
  • Execute contracts in line with scope and commercial terms; ensure proper documentation and invoicing.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, labor entries, parts usage, and service notes in CMMS.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing technical team; drive continuous improvement.
  • Report KPIs and develop action plans to improve equipment efficiency and availability; communicate with senior management.
