Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Millwright to service Saskatchewan and surrounding areas. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain surface and underground mining equipment to defined specifications and commission new equipment at customer sites.

You should have a Red Seal Millwright certification and at least 3 years of heavy-equipment experience. Strong ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics, and safe-work practices are required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Millwright certification or equivalent; asset in many sites.
• At least 3 years of heavy-equipment experience.
• Mining equipment experience is an asset.
• Proficiency reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for proper performance and identify faults.
• Adjust and repair/replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper operation.
• Commission new equipment at customer sites.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete time records, technical and failure reports.
• Maintain tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

So now we challenge you to take it one step further and apply!What you will be doingInspecting equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.Adjusting equipment & repairing/replacing defective parts, components, or systems according to the scope of work.Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.Commissioning new equipment.Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.Completing accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.Staying current with the industry, customers, product developments and technical best practices.Other duties as assigned by the Manager.Environmental Health and SafetyComplies with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.Responsibility to identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and/or near misses.
