Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking a Field Security Supervisor for the Peel and Halton regions. You will independently manage, establish, and review guard schedules, match guards to posts, and communicate changes to ensure consistent site coverage across GTA and York Region.

The role is a permanent full-time position with a 2-week rotational shift pattern including days and overnights (12-hour continental). Must have a clean driving record and a valid G license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience in security scheduling.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage complex schedules.
• Valid G class driver's license.
• Clean driving abstract with no outstanding tickets or incidents.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for inquiries and resolutions; monitor health and safety of guards.
• Escalate unsafe conditions; ensure site coverage and timely responses to incidents.
• Enter data for timekeeping, payroll, and billing; maintain knowledge of site contracts.
• Maintain current knowledge of site contracts and guard training requirements.
• Brief supervisors on schedule changes and post requirements; match guards to postings.

Overview

As a Field Security Supervisor for the Peel and Halton region areas, you will be responsible for independently managing, establishing, maintaining, and reviewing work schedules. You would match available guards to posts, notify employees of schedules and changes and control costs through the implementation of effective scheduling strategies.

This position is for a permanent full-time vacancy.

Hours of Work

2 weekRotational Days and Overnights (12 Hour Continental)

Key Job Duties

• Communicate and consult with District Management, Supervisors, Security Guards across Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and York Region for your specific sites to provide support for various operational issues.
• Always maintains site coverage; tracks requests for time off including vacation and personal leave requests to ensure site coverage; responds to emergency situations, call- offs, and absences to ensure that client sites have coverage; acts as call in center for remote posts.
• Function as first point of contact for inquiries, provide resolutions, as well as confirming the health & Safety of Security guards in the GTA.
• Escalate issues as appropriate, including unsafe working conditions.
• Prompt and accurate data entry for applications such as WFM for accurate timekeeping, payroll, and billing data
• Maintains current knowledge of site contracts and requirements of Security Guard training, availability and time worked.
• Coordinates the daily schedules and assignments of supervisory staff, briefs supervisors on changes to post schedules and new Security Guard schedules when required.
• Advises management of openings as they occur; matches Security Guards with site requirements and qualifications.

Requirements

• Highschool or College Diploma
• Minimum of one 1-2 years of related experience in the security industry as a Mobile Supervisor or Field Supervisor with experience in scheduling.
• Detail oriented.
• Clean driving abstract with no pending tickets, convictions, accidents etc.
• G Class Drivers Licence.
• Solid customer service skills and results orientation
• Effective communication and people skills
• Strong customer service and results orientation
• Proficient in use of various software applications including MS Word, Excel, and email.
