Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Repair & Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain field tools and equipment used in oil and gas operations. This role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, and testing while following company procedures.

The position requires basic computer skills, ability to work with hazardous materials, and a travel up to 10%. Senior roles may mentor team members and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills and mathematics.
• Experience with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, and explosives.
• Awareness of NDT, NDE, ATEX policies and principles.
• Ability to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring of equipment.
• Strong reading and writing skills and sound judgment.
• Ability to diagnose issues and problems with tools/equipment (senior roles).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain governance and policies in all operations.
• Quality Assurance: Comply with Quality policies and improve service quality.
• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and upgrades.
• Testing & Calibration: Conduct testing and calibration with documented policies.
• Troubleshooting: Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Documentation: Complete Work Orders and related forms accurately.
• Leadership (Senior Roles): Lead R&M team activities and allocate work.
• Communication: Report failures and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Support LEAN initiatives and safety meetings.
• Development: Pursue necessary training and career growth.
