Job summary

Ritchie Bros. in Canada is seeking a Marketing Manager to plan and execute programs that generate supply and engage sellers.

You will develop solution-based marketing plans across key segments, identify target audiences, and drive awareness through events, outreach, email, direct mail, telemarketing, and digital channels. You will own how campaigns translate into actionable execution for the sales team, focusing on field execution and seller behavior to accelerate cycles and augment pipeline.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marketing experience across a department.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solution-based marketing plans for different segments.
  • Identify target audiences and raise awareness through events, field outreach, email, direct mail, telemarketing, digital and social media.
  • Translate campaigns into actionable execution for the sales team.
  • Own the alignment of campaigns with seller behavior and field execution.
  • Coordinate auction plans and campaigns within the marketing group.
  • Partner with internal teams to accelerate pipeline and sales velocity.
  • Support content marketing and collateral development for campaigns.
  • Measure campaign performance and seller adoption to drive pipeline growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager plans and implements programs that generate supply for our solutions and increase engagement with both existing and prospective sellers. This role is responsible for developing solution‑based marketing plans across key segments, identifying target audiences, and driving awareness through targeted campaigns and field outreach. Programs encompass events, field outreach, email, direct mail, telemarketing, digital, and social media – focused on generating opportunities and accelerating sales cycles.

This role owns how campaigns translate into clear, actionable execution for the sales team – driving adoption, engagement, and pipeline impact.

This is not a traditional campaign‑only role. It requires close partnership with sales and a strong focus on field execution and seller behavior.

Success is measured by campaign performance and seller adoption, engagement, and contribution to pipeline and sales velocity.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing solution‑based marketing plans for various segments of the organization
  • Identifies target audiences, creates awareness, and generates supply by implementing and overseeing marketing tactics such as events, field outreach, email, direct mail, telemarketing, digital, and social media with the objective of driving opportunities and accelerating sales cycles for prospects and existing sellers
  • Establish, develop, design and maintain core marketing operations practice guide and processes to support collaboration and communication throughout the marketing team
  • Leads the prioritization and approval process of all in‑house projects including troubleshooting delays in project execution
  • Ensures the coordination of auction plans and campaigns within the marketing organization
  • Partners with internal departments to develop and implement pipeline acceleration programs to penetrate both existing and new sellers in Canada
  • Supports development and utilization of marketing campaign collateral and content
  • Supports content marketing strategy to increase engagement with new and existing accounts
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience working collaboratively across a Marketing department
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail; ability to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to make decisions, mitigate risks and solve problems under a tight deadline
  • Ability to thrive under the pressure of deadlines in a fast‑stakes dynamic business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a proven ability to build good and productive business relationships
  • Confidence in presenting and explaining our processes and rules within the marketing organization
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Must be willing to undertake both routine tasks and new, challenging projects
  • Must work well in an open, collaborative team environment
