Job summary

BFG Enterprise Services is seeking a field IT technician to provide on-site service at customer sites across Canada, performing connectivity and hardware troubleshooting and repair. You will also set up Outlook, replace POS components, and ensure high-quality, documented work while maintaining safety.

Travel on short notice, flexible day/night shifts, and 24/7 stand-by will be required. Strong networking knowledge, CompTIA A+ and an IT degree are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum university degree with major in information technology or related program.
• CompTIA A+ Certification required or equivalent.
• Experience in IT field services and POS systems a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide field technical service and support at customer sites across Canada.
• Perform connectivity and hardware troubleshooting and repair; set up Outlook.
• Identify and repair hardware issues in a POS environment; replace scanners, scales, pin pads, printers and workstations.
• Ensure quality, document work performed and maintain safe work area.
• Travel on short notice to customer sites; support rotating day/night 24/7 shifts.
• Prepare field reports and liaise with Help Desk on escalations.
• Install and test network cabling and equipment; troubleshoot field issues.
• Operate hand and power tools and demonstrate proficient computer networking skills.
