Job summary

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. seeks an Instrumentation Superintendent to lead instrumentation and control scopes on complex industrial projects across Western Canada. You will ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.

You will oversee field devices, PLC/DCS integration, and coordinate with project teams, vendors, and clients while mentoring craft personnel and enforcing Aecon safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience focusing on instrumentation and control.
• Experience in supervisory/superintendent roles overseeing I&C scopes.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation components and field devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution of instrumentation and control scopes, including installation and commissioning.
• Review drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs and specs for proper installation.
• Oversee installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of field devices and control systems.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of instrumentation, PLC, DCS and control systems.
• Develop and manage construction and look-ahead schedules with teams.
• Ensure safety programs are followed and risk is managed.
