Job summary

Finning Canada, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a dedicated Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic based in the Medicine Hat area to perform field maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of CAT equipment. You will work with customers and the Finning team, use SIS and ET daily, complete documentation, and report to the Service Supervisor.

A Journeyperson certificate, a valid driver’s license, and strong safety and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean recent abstract.
• Safety conscious with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Completion or current progress of Finning S-level courses.
• 5+ years of experience repairing CAT equipment.
• Computer literate and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on Caterpillar equipment.
• Interact with customers, product and sales support, and Finning team.
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
• Complete technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with Service Supervisor on tasks.
