Job summary

Great Canadian Roofing & Siding is seeking a Field Estimator I to join our team on-site. You will conduct on-site inspections, gather measurements, and build accurate exterior project estimates for roofing and related work.

This role blends field and office work, requiring clear client communication and coordination with sales and production to ensure smooth handoffs and strong customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in construction, roofing, exterior sales, or related field is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct site inspections and prepare basic cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of roofing and exterior systems, materials, and installation practices.
• Basic understanding of estimating principles, including material takeoffs and labour costing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, estimating software, and mobile inspection tools.
• Strong communication skills to explain scope, estimates, and next steps to clients.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage appointments and documentation.
• Ability to work independently while following established processes and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• On-site inspections to gather measurements and assess project scope.
• Prepare detailed estimates and document site conditions.
• Explain scope and pricing to clients; coordinate with internal teams.
• Ensure information is accurately captured in CRM and estimating systems.
