Job summary

Great Canadian Roofing & Siding is seeking a Field Estimator to conduct on-site inspections, gather measurements, and assess project scope for roofing and exterior work. You will prepare detailed estimates and ensure accurate documentation in CRM and estimating systems.

You will work with clients to explain scope and pricing while supporting sales to move projects forward, coordinating with internal teams for a smooth handoff from sales to production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in construction, roofing, exterior sales, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and prepare cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of roofing/exterior systems and installation practices.
• Understanding of material takeoffs and labour costing.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Proficiency with CRM, estimating software, and mobile tools.
• Strong communication skills to explain scope and next steps.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage appointments and documentation.

Great Canadian Roofing & Siding is looking for a Field Estimator (internally known as Field Estimator I) to join our team! In this role, you'll conduct inspections, build estimates, and support roofing and exterior project sales. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIELD ESTIMATOR

As a Field Estimator, you'll spend your day on-site conducting inspections, gathering measurements, and assessing project scope for roofing and exterior work. You'll prepare detailed estimates, document site conditions, and ensure all information is accurately captured in CRM and estimating systems.

You'll work directly with clients to explain scope, pricing, and next steps, helping build trust and move projects forward. You'll also coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to production. From following up on opportunities to supporting the close of projects, your work will play a key role in delivering a strong customer experience and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in construction, roofing, exterior sales, or a related field is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving abstract.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct site inspections and prepare basic cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of roofing and exterior systems, materials, and installation practices.
• Basic understanding of estimating principles, including material takeoffs and labour costing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, estimating software, and mobile inspection tools.
• Strong communication skills to explain scope, estimates, and next steps to clients.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage appointments and documentation.
• Ability to work independently while following established processes and guidelines.
