Job summary

Engage-Building-Products, headquartered in Calgary, is seeking an Estimator Coordinator to join our team. You will support construction estimating, collaborate with sales and operations, and ensure timely and accurate estimates using PlanSwift and CRM systems.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, a civil engineering-related degree, strong Excel skills, and excellent English communication. This role focuses on accurate estimates and coordinating across departments for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering or related field is preferred.
• 2-5 years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, etc.).
• Proficiency in reading architectural drawings.
• Experience using CRM software.
• Experience in construction estimation; PlanSwift is a plus.
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal).
• Experience in construction estimating or related field preferred.
• Understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor OSR close ratio by generating an Estimation-Sales report regularly.
• Follow up with OSR on status of open deals and ensure system updates in HubSpot.
• Assist Estimation Manager with Estimation files and weekly/monthly reports.
• Attend Estimation meetings with sales team and stakeholders.
• Evaluate estimate requests by checking drawings for completeness and validity.
• Organize the customer Estimation queue on HubSpot.
• Coordinate with sales, estimation, order desk and installation teams on BOQ ETAs, takeoffs, RFIs.

Job Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Estimator Coordinators to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the construction estimating process, ensuring that all estimates are accurate and timely. You will collaborate with sales and operation teams, as well as clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of construction estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Outside Sales Representatives' (OSR) close ratio by generating an Estimation-Sales report at a regular basis
• Follow up with Outside Sales Representative (OSR) on status of "open" deals and makes sure OSRs update the system (HubSpot) accordingly
• Assists Estimation Manager with Estimation files, and weekly and monthly reports.
• Attends Estimation meetings with sales team and stakeholders.
• Evaluates estimate requests by checking if drawings are complete and requests are valid.
• Organizes the customer Estimation queue on HubSpot.
• Coordinates with sales, estimation, order desk and installation teams (BOQ ETAs, takeoff priorities, RFIs and any other technical queries).

Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering or related field (preferred).
• 2-5 years of related professional experience.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, etc.).
• High proficiency in reading Architectural Drawings.
• Experience using CRM software.
• Must have construction estimation skills (experience in PlanSwift is an advantage).
• Must have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
